Residents of Tamworth are being given the opportunity to see boyband Blue, The Sugababes and JLS for less when they play in Tamworth next month at the Midlands Music Festival.

The cost for a Tammie to go to the festival has been slashed by a third for a limited time, allowing locals to see some of the biggest names in UK pop music in the Castle Grounds.  (Read the original line up here).

The offer which is only open to residents till July 14 will see the cost of the ticket reduced from £45 to £32 upon production of a proof of address when purchasing the tickets from the Tamworth Information Centre in the town centre.

Co-organiser Jem Sanders told the Tamworth Herald:

“Every step of the way we’ve said that we want Tamworth to be a huge part of the festival,

“Key to that is having local people there on the day.

“The festival is right on their doorstep and now, with reduced price tickets for those living in Tamworth, there is no reason for them not to come.”

As well as announcing the reduced price tickets, the Midlands Music Festival has also announced that Sugababes have been added to the guests appearing in the Castle Grounds on August 8.

The Midlands Music Festival has been organised to raise funds for the local Just1Life charity with all proceeds going to help the care and support of premature babies throughout the countries hospitals.  Some of the proceeds though will also go towards arranging the 2010 Midlands Music Festival.
