Fancy a sneak peak at Middleton Lakes?

Middleton Lakes, I don’t think the team will mind me saying, is very much work in progress. But the RSPB are this weekend inviting members of the public to take part in a guided walk of the new conservation site based at Middleton.
Transforming an old quarry into a nature reserve and place of beauty takes time and Middleton Lakes is constantly changing as the RSPB work to transform this already beautiful spot to an amenable attraction for families and wildlife alike.
On Sunday 12 July a guided tour will take place around the lakes showing you the lakes in their development stages and the wildlife that already calls the lakes home.
If you would like to take part you need to book your place either by calling 01827 259454 or emailing middletonlakes@rspb.org.uk.
