Tamworth residents will be able to take part in Channel 4’s 3D week which runs from Monday November 16, by grabbing their FREE 3D glasses from Sainsbury’s Tamworth at Ventura Park.
3D has a long and colourful history. From a 19th century craze to the 3D movies of the 50s when it was developed to fight off competition from television and from the 1980s revival that saw Jaws 3D packing out cinemas to the cutting-edge 3D technology of today.
In a dedicated week Channel 4 invites viewers to put on their 3D specs and celebrate 3D on TV.
A spokesperson said:
”We’re not talking state of the art IMAX technology here, but some good old fashioned fun. From unseen footage of The Queen in her coronation year to Derren Brown and movies, Channel 4 will be offering viewers another dimension across seven days of classic and original programming”.
You can get your FREE pair of 3d glassess from Sainsburys in Tamworth during their usual opening times.
One Response on Tamworth Residents urged to partake in 3D fun on Channel 4
When Virgin 1 had their 3d programming, you could send for a pair of 3d glasses via the internet, shame for this you have to trek out to some out of town shopping shed to collect a pair, but then it’s more about getting people through the door to buy stuff, so Sainsbury’s can pay Jamie Oliver the vast sums of money they throw at him.
