The police press office have stated that searches have now finished in Glascote Road and the police cordon has been lifted. The two men arrested last night remain in custody.
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people in (a) Staffordshire and (b) Tamworth were in receipt of housing benefit of more than £400 a month in the latest period for which figures are available.
Last week, Staffordshire police authority announced the appointment of its first full-time chief executive, with a salary of £85,000. Does my right hon. Friend agree that the people of Staffordshire would rather have more influence over policing priorities than see the appointment of another unelected, unaccountable and expensive bureaucrat?
