Mark Locke, who has directed nearly all of our music videos, is making his 2nd feature film called Three Stags. His first film Crust, about a giant boxing shrimp, is now a cult film in Japan and saw it’s premier at Tamworth’s Odeon Cinema! Filming begins next week, and he is looking for extras, runners and even investors!
If you’re interested this far, then please continue on to Mark’s message.
He’s a lovely man whoes pretty much guarantee’s a fun and friendly time during filming So go on, help him out! To see some of Mark’s work, go here… http://www.fortmarkfilms.com/
He’s making a feature film against all odds and start a week on Monday (main shoot is June 14th – July 5th) and all is chaos! And we really need your help if you can give it, mainly with coming along and being EXTRAS (who we like to think of as essentials, cos we couldn’t make a film without them!) if u can spare the time!
As well as getting your mug in a movie it should be fun too so we’re letting you know early in case anyone wants to book any time off work etc! Although some is evenings/weekends and will only take a coupla hours here and there.
Will list all the scenes/days below but before that a few other things we’re looking for…
INVESTORS
A long shot this one but still the opportunity to invest (anything from £250 to 1 grand). Investors’ money would be first out of the recoup pot so as long as the film isn’t shit on toast and gets sold then with a budget this low there’s a pretty good chance of seeing the investment money again, and of course a cut of any profits. (Although of course there’s always a chance you’ll never see it again either – such is the film business!) If you’re vaguely interested we can tell you more about the terms
Anyone interested can email info@fortmarkfilms.com with the heading INVESTORS.
THEY HELP ON CREW
Still a few assistant roles to fill – mainly running and helping out and being a positive member of the team – anyone keen can email Lou at louisemardenborough@yahoo.co.uk with the heading RUNNERS/ASSISTANTS.
HELP WITH CATERING
If you know anyone who wants to assist or just feed twenty-odd people on the odd day and is a blinding cook with some free time on their hands, then do get in touch! Lou at louisemardenborough@yahoo.co.uk, email headed FOOD!
And finally the ESSENTIALS. Here’s the list but again if you wanna come along to any of these then email (you guessed it) louisemardenborough@yahoo.co.uk with the heading ESSENTIALS. Really hope you can come along and hang out and be in the movie and get on the credits too!
Also if anyone can forward this list to friends and family that would be a great help!
Here’s the list so see what you fancy. A thousand thanks!
Thursday 17th June (Eve from 9pm ish):
(Tamworth town centre)
‘Townies’ who are on a night out while 5 of the blokes on the stag are being pushed around in a big industrial bin to the local curry house! Should be an amusing couple of hours! May be a late-ish one, but fun! Plus you can leave when you choose! Dress to impress!
Friday 18th June. (Daytime, around teatime ish, time TBC):
(Tamworth town centre – Assembly Rooms steps)
‘ex-donors’ who have just given blood at the Assembly Rooms – you won’t actually be required to give blood, just to look a bit whoozy walking out of the building!
Saturday 19th June. (Morning 8.00 till about 11.30):
(Three Tuns Pub, Tamworth)
‘Pub drinkers’, preferably middle aged men having a beer at their local. Need about 5 or 6. This is a stripogram scene so that’s why there having to film it before the pub opens! Great for pervy looking Dads, Grandads and Uncles.
Saturday 19th June (early afternoon for 1-2 hours):
(Portobello Italian Restaurant, Tamworth)
‘Restaurant eaters’ while some girls are on their hen do.
Saturday 19th June (Eve from 9ish):
(Three Tuns Pub, Tamworth)
‘Evening drinkers’, having a beer outside, this is the scene where the 5 main cast come out of the pub a bit too merry and decide the best form of transport to the curry house is a wheely bin!
Wednesday 23rd June (All day):
(Bassetts Pole Paintball)
‘Paintballers’, You may get to have a little paintball action! A lot of it though will be banter in the changing rooms and when you’re on breaks in-between games. There should be a lot of reactions going on in these scenes towards the head marshal ‘Dangerous Darren’, who thinks he has charisma but actually has none. We really need about 35 so let everyone know who you think will be up for it! Bassetts Pole are supplying everyone with the camo jumpsuits, etc.
Thursday 24th June (All day):
(Bassetts Pole Paintball)
‘Paintballers’ again, but we only need a few today, about 10.
Friday 25th June. (09:00 – 11:30)
Tamworth centre, Olivers club
‘Clubbers’ in the bar area – pretty self explanatory! Dress to Impress!
Saturday 26th June (Morn.)
A carpark in Tamworth
‘Daytrippers’, as if you’re on a day out with family somewhere scenic! This scene is where the main guys are on another stag do and they decide to de-bag the stag here, before they get back in the car! It would be funny if there’s some kids around with their parents, buying icecreams from a van, completely oblivious to this going on. If you’re comfortable with this, great!
Monday 28th June (early eve. 5pm-7?)
Pub in Sutton Area
‘Glamorous pub drinkers’, sitting outside – again, self explanatory! Dress To Impress!
Tuesday 29th June (morning)
Assembly Rooms, Tamworth
‘Give Blood Donors’ of all ages from 18 upwards, waiting to/giving blood – again, not actually giving any away!
