All of us at some time in our lives have experienced the emotional roller coaster of knowing relatives or friends who have had a premature baby. We have all shared in the joy with our families or loved ones the birth of a new child.

But only too often for no explainable reason babies come into this world too early and this most joyous of day’s now turns into a living nightmare. For the parents, friends and family of these babies the next few days, weeks or even months become the most difficult times they may well have to endure during their lifetime.

Fortunately in this country, our hospitals are more than able to cope with these new arrivals, some babies born as early as 24 weeks and weighing a mere 2lb and some arriving just before their due date but having health problems at birth.

The medical staff at these hospitals are among the finest in the world. Right from the top consultants and registrars all the way down through to sisters, staff nurses, nurses, midwives, health visitors and trainees.

The care and expertise with which they carry out their work is remarkable.  Although the medical staff are miracle workers, at times they do not always work under the best conditions, the machinery they use, is, in a lot of cases, antiquated or inadequate.

Some babies are even transferred from one hospital to another in order to receive the care they need.  Their jobs could be made easier if these hospital had more up to date and adequate equipment.

Just 1 Life is dedicated to raising vital funds to improve the care and treatment of premature and sick babies in the UK.
Every year throughout the country over 80,000 babies are born prematurely, that is 1 in 8 of every baby born today.

The dedicated neo-natal nursing and medical staff across the UK are among the world’s finest, but all too often lack of funds or outdated equipment frustrate their fantastic efforts.

Buying a ticket will not only provide you with a fantastic line up of stars and entertainment but you will also be helping a good cause ”Just 1 Life”.  It’s an event not to be missed and it’s just on your doorstep on the historical grounds of the Tamworth castle.

Have you brought your ticket yet..?
